Choosing your location is part of the fun. Parks and trails are usually great spots for getting nature backgrounds, just be aware some areas will require a permit for us to perform a photoshoot. For a more urban setting, downtown Denver makes for a great backdrop. I made a blog post that might help give you some ideas for a spot. Check it out here!

For outdoor photoshoots, lighting will be best at sunrise or 90 minutes before sunset. Evenings will be best for mountain shoots. To plan ahead with sunrise and sunset times, this website is a great resource.

You have options! You can either bring cash to your photoshoot or pay by Venmo or Google Pay after we are done taking photos. If you would prefer to pay by credit card, I can send you an invoice with a secure payment link on the day of the shoot.
-
Nope. My pricing is all inclusive so whichever package you select includes a secure gallery of all the edited photos as well as print rights. The gallery also allows you the option to download all your photos and the ability to purchase prints or custom items like calendars, framed photos, prints, etc.

I always set the delivery date for photos 2 weeks after the photoshoot. Though, I usually can deliver photos within 7-10 days. Generally, the longer the photoshoot session you choose, the longer the turnaround time.
-
It depends on which session you choose. Mini sessions (30 minutes) will get you 30+ photos, Standard sessions (1 hour) will get you 60+ photos, and the Full session will get you 100+ photos. The “+” denotes that you will likely get more than that number, but you will be guaranteed to get at least that much.
-
Editing is the process of correcting color, distortion, tone, and light. Retouching is the process of removing skin blemishes, restoring hair, whitening teeth, etc. In each session you have the option to have certain photos retouched after they have been edited.
-
Typically, the Mini session (30 minutes) only allows for a single outfit, but if you are wanting to try and squeeze 2 in there, then I’m game. For Standard sessions (1 hour) usually allow for 2-3 outfits, and Full sessions (2 hours) about 3-5.

Most locations will have access to a restroom, however some (particularly mountain, trail, or foothill spots) won’t. I do have a pop-up changing tent that I will bring along just in case.
-
Of course! Having a friend or two can be part of the fun. Plus, having someone you know with you can help to put you at ease and get some great shots.
-
Yes, of course! Just know that they will be difficult at times. I highly recommend having a friend join you so they can watch the dog while we take photos that don’t include them. If you don’t have anyone joining you, please just have a plan for the dog while we are taking photos.

I will travel anywhere in the Denver metro area, as far north as Lafayette/Brighton, as far south as Castle Pines, as far East as Aurora Reservoir, and as far West as Golden/Mount Falcon. Boulder and high-country areas are available as an add-on to both Standard and Full sessions.
-
Your photos will be delivered digitally via a secure gallery. In that gallery you will be able to view, download, and share as many photos as you would like. You will also have the option to purchase custom items like calendars, framed photos, prints, etc.

I have been learning photography since I was in high school (circa 2007) but have been honing my skills more seriously since December of 2020.

I currently shoot on a Canon EOS 80D DSLR camera. The vast majority of my photos have been taken with a Canon 18-55mm lens. I do also have a Canon 10-18mm lens that I’ll use when I need to take extra wide shots or when shooting real estate sites.

In the Spring, Summer, and Fall I’d say it’s best to aim for 1-2 months out.
-
I’m so glad you asked. You can book with me here.
-
The weather in this beautiful state can be chaos and life can get messy at times, so rescheduling is totally fine. Shoots that are canceled and not rescheduled are subject to forfeiting the deposit, if canceled within one week or less of the photoshoot.

Typically, no.

I’m willing to do small events or elopements. I do not do full-scale weddings at this time.

MEET YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER
I take pictures. There’s no story though, no grand purpose-driven epic about how my passions called to me in a time of need. That’s because I have always had an itch for building and creating. As a kid growing up in the Colorado sunshine, I would build all kinds of stuff. You’d be amazed at what you can make with just a skateboard, bungee cords, and some wood. (Wear your helmet, kids.)
Over the past 20 years or so, I have tried my creative hand at drawing, painting, YouTubing, music production, podcasting, more YouTubing, and yes, photography. I still enjoy all the above, but photography is the one that I had built the most skill around, so I decided (in the middle of a global pandemic) to launch a business centered around just that.
I am a firm believer that beauty can be found anywhere, you need only look. Bonus points if you take a picture. That’s why I enjoy taking photos, I get to capture what I see and share it with the world. I started RYZE Media to help others do the same because everyone has something worthy of the world’s attention.
